World Poetry Day Afternoon Tea – Wednesday 21st March

by | Mar 5, 2018 | Events, News

‘You can find poetry in your everyday life, your memory, in what people say on the bus, in the news, or just what’s in your heart.’   – Carol Anne Duffy

What are your favourite poems?

World Poetry Day originated in 1999 in Paris, created by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) with the aim to support linguistic diversity through means of poetry.

It is the occasion to honour worldwide poets, revive poetry recitals whilst promoting the reading and writing of poetry, continuing to bring people together across the globe.

We invite you all to join us in celebrating World Poetry Day at Pallant Restaurant, what better way to appreciate our global poets, past and present than with a delicious Afternoon Tea and poetry recitals from the fabulous John McGlynn, as he shares a selection of his favourite pieces. Enjoy Afternoon Tea with Tea and Coffee for £15 per person or upgrade to our Sparkling Afternoon Tea with a glass of Prosecco for £17.50 per person.

Wednesday 21st March at 3.30pm, Pallant Restaurant – please call 01243 770827 to book your place
